Two successful camp ran in August 2014, both at Gilwell Park, Chingford.

Cubs had a “pack up your troubles” camp, remembering the start of WW1; the camp had brilliant weather, excellent food and a great programme. All the Cubs had a thoroughly good time. And leader Sue (Baloo) qualified with her Nights Away Permit, meaning she can now run camps on her own. Well done!

Scouts, in an adjacent area had a whale of a time. They had various activities, including a visit to Imperial War Museum, but the highlight was the social side, with Scout groups from 14 countries in camp.

Every evening they ran their own camp fire singsong with different nationalities. During the day the heat dictated water fights, and sitting chatting into the night.
